Rynhardt Gerber 

Rynhardt is a dedicated and hard worker. He always puts the needs of others above his own. Rynhardt matriculated from Pearson High in the year 2011 where he had gathered various achievements including first team rugby, a toastmasters certificate and deputy head boy. Rynhardt possesses good leadership skills and is a well-rounded person. He is ambitious and currently doing his Post Grad Business administration at honors level. He has graduated with his BHMS degree (human movement science) qualification and has completed a sports massage course.


He believes in equality and quality of service, treating each client as an individual and not as a number or object of income. He not only teaches and leads others but constantly seeks to learn and improve on his own knowledge and skills. He has at least four years of experience in his field besides the fact that he is actively involved in training and coaching.


He is running a successful business, Wellness-Thru-Function, open to the public, together with assisting and conditioning various sporting teams from swimming to rugby at Victoria Park High School.

About Us

Sandri de Beer Physiotherapy private practice is situated in the gymnasium at Victoria Park High School. Mrs de Beer provides physiotherapy services to Victorians as well as the wider Port Elizabeth community.

Sandri de Beer qualified at the University of Stellenbosch in 1996 with a B.Sc.Physio. degree and gained experience in treating varied outpatient and in-patient conditions. Attending several courses (Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, Dry Needling, Orthopaedic Conditions, Aquatic Physiotherapy, Pilates and most recently the international Workwell Training in specialised work-related screening tests and rehabilitation protocols) ensures continuing professional education.


Physiotherapy assists with:

  • Sports injuries
  • Headaches
  • Back and neck pain, including whiplash injuries
  • Painful conditions like arthritis, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff injuries amongst many others
  • Upper limb and work-related problems, also known as repetitive strain injuries
  • Pregnancy-related symptoms, such as back pain, stress incontinence and breastfeeding related soft tissue conditions.
  • Most sprains, strains, aches and pains originating in muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints.

  • Massage, specific soft tissue mobilisation and myofascial release
  • Joint mobilisation to reduce pain and stiffness
  • Electrotherapy: e.g. ultrasound, interferential current and laser therapy
  • Dry Needling
  • Exercise therapy, re-education of movement, post-injury and post-operative rehabilitation programs
  • Pre- and post-season sports screening assessment
  • Sports massage
  • Airway clearance techniques and breathing exercises to assist with a variety of breathing difficulties e.g. asthma and respiratory infections like bronchitis and pneumonia.
