VP Squash
2010 has been a very memorable year for squash at VP. After saying goodbye to a number of loyal 1st team players in 2009, we were very fortunate that our ranks were bolstered this year by some very talented Grade 8 players. Much hard work in the early summer months of the year returned a rich dividend in the winter season when the squash league began. Our 1st team performed as true Victorians, having not only the VP spirit on and off the court, but backing this with almost flawless results. We wiped the floor with most of our archrivals, like Pearson, Collegiate and Framesby, winning 8 out of nine games. Our only defeat was against Alexander Road high who managed to beat us by one point when our No. 1 player was away. VP is very proud of Ashley Ruth who was chosen to represent EP U14A, and we bid Jason Jones farewell as he completes his school career this year. We look forward to an even greater season in 2011.
