Our Principal, Mr Michael James Vermaak studied a BComm (Ed) at the University of Port Elizabeth, before embarking on his teaching career. He came to Victoria Park as a deputy principal in 1997, and was elected as principal in 2002.

Ever conscious of his role as principal and teacher, Mr Vermaak drives Victoria Park with passion - this is his favourite word.

He is an energetic and popular public-speaker, able to motivate adults and teens alike. He has the ability to hold the attention of thousands for what seems like an eternity for him - but not for his audience!

Our school is proud of our proudly Victorian principal.

Deputy Principals, Mr Adrian Jansen and Dr Joan Clarke ably assist Mr Vermaak in steering Victoria Park to excellence.

Mr Jansen, a keen athlete, is also head of the History Department and he manages discipline at Victoria Park. Dr Clarke, who shows formidable talents in so many spheres,  is the Academic Head and also head of the Mathematics Department.
