PAW (Protecting Animals World-Wide) is Victoria Park's animal anti-cruelty organisation. Victorians raise funds to support animal charities and spend much of their spare time grooming and treating animals in need.
PAW members have been hard at work this year raising funds for animal charities in need.
They’ve been selling sweets at break time, helping out at major events by selling tea or coffe, making boerewors rolls at the Arts Festival and by lending a hand at animal welfare.
This year PAW had to say a sad goodbye to Mrs Martindale who always gave of her time and her best to try raise much needed funds for shelters or help out wherever she could.
We gladly welcomed Mrs Van Niekerk to PAW as the new teacher in charge. Mrs Martindale will be greatly missed by all PAW members but Mrs Van Niekerk will help PAW to achieve even more in the future.
PAW is planning to have a great charity concert at a local primary school early next year. The funds will all be donated to animal welfare. This will encourage younger learners to get involved with underpriviledge animals who need that little bit of love and attention.
