Victoria Park High School has had an extremely eventful year, from the summer and winter sport fixtures to the musical, My African Dream to Mr and Miss VP Sport. The VIP journalists have had their hands full covering the various school events.
This year, we released 2 jam-packed editions, covering all the events and sports happenings at VP. These articles were accompanied by many photographs; (taken by our budding photographers) which increased the interest in the VIP because, as we all know, “a picture tells 1000 words”. The second edition consisted of the 2nd and 3rd term events as well as acting as the departing Matrics’ Valedictory gift. I hope that it is something that they can appreciate and fondly look back at.

I would like to end off by thanking the entire editorial committee; it is through their hard work and perseverance that the magazine is such a success. A special thank you to Mrs Bloem for all her constant hard work and dedication towards the magazine over many years, it is really appreciated. The Valedictory edition was her final edition of the VIP and the entire committee will sorely miss her. All of the best to the new teacher-in-charge and committee, I hope that you can continue to inform and enlighten the VP family.

2008 has been a successful but busy year for Victoria Park High School. Therefore, it has been just as hectic for all the VIP journalists covering the various events, from the arts festival, Copacabana, sports fixtures and Mr and Miss VP, the VIP were there.

This year, we released 3 editions, covering all the events and sports happenings at VP. These articles were accompanied by many photographs, (taken by our budding photographers). These increased the interest in the VIP because as we all know “a picture tells 1000 words”. The second edition celebrated the VIP’s 25th birthday and we were amazed at how sophisticated the newspaper has become in comparison to previous editions. Congratulations VIP! We have continued the tradition of dedicating the 3rd edition to the matrics as a gift. I hope that it is something that they can appreciate and fondly look back at.

I would like to end off by thanking the entire editorial committee, it is through their hard work and perseverance that the magazine is such a success. A special thank you to Mrs Bloem for all her constant hard work and dedication towards the newspaper, it is really appreciated. All of the best to the new committee, I hope that you can continue inform and enlighten the VP family.
