POETIC EXPRESSIONS 2008
Poetry is painting a picture using exactly the right words. It takes reality and blends it into need, freedom and a mode of expression. It takes each person from the world they know, to a world where their souls will go.
This year the poetry society was revived from the grave and made sure their presence was felt. Wednesday afternoons were filled with excitement, passion and inspiration. The number of supporters grew tremendously and pretty soon poetry was turning into a movement. The highlight of our year was the arts festival where we were given a platform to showcase our talents. The marquee was packed to capacity with poetry lovers. Mrs. van der Walt was moved to tears by the talent of our pupils.
We have had an extremely successful year and hopefully next year will be even more incredible. I wish to thank each and every poet for their contribution this year.
